New Cundletown Soccer Clubhouse nearing completion

With the majority of building work now complete, the final fit out is underway on Cundletown’s soccer club amenities.

Federal Member for Lyne Dr David Gillespie today congratulated the Cundletown Soccer Club and MidCoast Council on the project which was allocated $300,000 in funding under the former Federal Coalition Government’s Local Roads and Community Infrastructure program.

September completion for Danny Buderus Field Amenities upgrade

Federal Member for Lyne Dr David Gillespie has inspected the work on the amenities upgrade currently underway at Danny Buderus Field Building at the Taree Sport & Recreation Grounds with MidCoast Council’s Senior Project Manager Scott Trotter.

MidCoast Council, on behalf of the Taree Recreation Ground User Group, secured $400,000 under the former Federal Coalition Government’s Local Roads and Community Infrastructure program towards the building upgrade.

OLD BAR SURF CLUB UPGRADE OFFICIAL OPENING

Federal Member for Lyne Dr David Gillespie will today participate in the official opening of the recently completed upgrade of the Taree Old Bar Surf Life Saving Club.

In 2021, Dr Gillespie and the late State Member for Myall Lakes Stephen Bromhead announced $425,000 in Federal and State funding for an expansion of the Club building including upgrades to first aid rooms, bathrooms and emergency response areas at Old Bar Surf Life Saving Club.

AUSTRALIAN RED CROSS LIFEBLOOD TAREE DONOR CENTRE MARKS MILESTONE

Australian Red Cross Lifeblood Taree Donor Centre has marked its 20th birthday.

I was pleased to attend the celebrations to mark the occasion with staff and blood donors who have provided over 200 life-giving donations, and a couple of donors have even surpassed 300 donations.

GRANT FOR CAMDEN HAVEN RURAL FIRE BRIGADE

Camden Haven Rural Fire Brigade has been awarded a $1500 grant through the 2023-2024 Volunteer Grants Program for equipment to assist its members during many fire seasons to come.

They were successful in receiving funding for four fire extinguisher knapsacks to help brigade members fight remote fires, which they can’t access with trucks or hoses.
